Thanks, I adore them. I have found that Manchas have some of the best personalities in the goat world.

Its nice to be in the company of someone who loves them as much as I do. So many people don't realize that what they lack in ear length they more than make up for in personality. Of course I have found I actually prefer the tiny ears of the Mancha over any other ear style in goats.

Well I am definately on the crazy train with that breed. They have me wrapped around their hooves. LOL!
Im going to tell you a story real quick. It comes back to me everytime I think about my LaManchas.
Ok so I had discovered the LaMancha breed when I was 9 years old but there was no way under God's green acre I could afford them. The ones I found were like $700-$1500 a piece. But my heart longed so much for that breed although I knew basically nothing about their personalities I was drew to the LaMancha's from first sight. Well when I was in school I took part in anything agriculuture. Well there was a family that had moved here from Missouri and their daughter was going to school at my school. Well she joined this club that I was the reporter in and was asking anyone if they were interested in purchasing a PUREBRED LaMancha buckling for $50!!! I nearly jumped out of my seat and without missing a beat I yelled across the room I DO!! So began our journey. Well they invited us to their farm and I felt like something was right about this breed. But I got out of the truck and went with the daughter to look at the bucklings (which my mom always told me if I fed it, watered, bought it with my own money, and took care of them myself I could buy small livestock) And decided that I wanted a wether as well. Well during that time- my grandmother who was in the front seat near mom looked over and saw the "earless" goats and Screamed to the top of her lungs KATIE!!!! When I got up there she said if you bring those things home- well your not bringing them home!! Well i talked her into the buckling and wether took them home and they grew on her and she suggested we buy some does of that breed. Well then to my suprise the people decided they needed a buck for their other does and since they didnt have the money they made the decision to offer me 8 does in exchange for me buying a non-related buck to use on theirs and mine. So there was the start to my herd. I bought a really nice buck that I paid good money for.... but for the amount I gave for him I got him and 8 does to start!
That is the reason I try to offer kids so much more cheaply that breeders with the same bloodlines. Because I know there are people out there just like me.

It is very difficult to find clean, healthy goats of any breed for a decent price. I wish I had a Mancha buck but we just don't have a good place to keep a buck on a full time basis. So we have to borrow a buck from a friend and through them I have the option of a Saanen buck, a boer buck and a Nubian buck. We decided to go with the Saanen buck. I don't want half meat babies (at least not this year) and I although I used to love Nubians, I don't really care for them anymore. So Saanen it is. Maybe next year I can find a Mancha buck nearby.

Hopefully you can. If you were closer you could get one of mine. My bucks start at $150 according to the doe and the bloodlines.
