do you all raise registered animals or do some of you raise grade ones for pets? my two girls are not registered but i would still like to breed them. any opinions on this. like i said before im new to breeding so your comments are welcome! <3-heather

Well I raise registered, but I also raise registered grades as well. BUT all of mine are standard dairy breeds. I think that Ms Tara or Ms Chrissy could better help you with this question. I do know that if you want to raise Nigerian dwarfs and register them through the adga they have to be purebreds.

I raise LaManchas so I am not sure if I will be any help. I raise registered for the most part although I do have one grade Mancha. Its depends on your needs,goals, and market whether or not you have have grades.

If you choose to breed, just be careful when you advertise and your prices. Unregistered animals (minis anyway) sell for alot less than registered. And never advertise as purebred, because you don't necessarily know the lineage and what you're animal could be mixed with.
I have a grade doe I breed (she obviously isn't pure Pygmy) so I always advertise her babies as crosses and grade and as pets only.
