Well, due to a series of unfortunate events, I am not going to be able to have Nubians anymore. I have neighbors and I guess after a year of silence, they just aren't as tolerant of Nubian screaming and yelling as they once were and we decided to go with LaManchas.
So I put my two long awaited for doelings up for sale. One sold failry quickly along with her unreg brother. That left us with one very lonely Nubian doeling still waiting to be bought. Then we were given a yearling NuMancha. She came to us a week ago, undersized, extremely thin, wormy, feet as long as she was thin, and scruffy coated.
We wormed her, trimmed her feet, gave her a CDT vac,a Bose shot,a vit B shot, and a copper bolus. We are slowly building her up on grain and she is already looking better.
We are getting ready to purchase two more LaMancha doelings. These two are registered purebreds. Now they are not the really nice lines I want to work with in the future, but they are decent and are a start.

Thanks. I am actually loving the LaMancha so much, that I'm not minding the change at all. Really nice lines will come with time. If I started out with perfect goats and lines, what would I work towards? So I am content.

Wow -- that sure is disappointing. I'm glad my neighbors have no problems with 29 loud pygmies. I would be if I were you!! Hope you like the change though. Going from long ears to no ears is a big difference. lol!
